PURPOSE:To make a tool grindable in leaving it set to a machine tool intact, by installing a clamper capable of centering the tool at will and also a magnet in a grinder, in case of a tool grinder being attached to the machine tool by means of the magnet. CONSTITUTION:A grinder D and a measuring machine 2 measuring the amount of stock removal are all installed in position nearby a tool rest of a machine tool by means of a magnet via a centering clamping machine 3 which rotates and moves in horizontal and vertical and longitudinal directions. This centering machine consists of a slide type and a swivel joint type one, etc., and as for the magnet, an electromagnet or a permanent magnet is used. Doing like this, when a tool is reground heretofore, it is carried out after removal from the machine tool but in this case, there is no necessity for removing the tool from the machine proper and, what is more, a small quantity of cutting edge grinding can be performed in a short time, yet in a highly accurate manner. |
