The invention relates to agricultural machines. According to the invention, the discs 4, 501, 502, 503, 6 of the rotary cutter 1 are driven by an endless transmission member housed in the casing 8. The means for driving this endless transmission member extend through one of the said discs. Between the last disc wheel and the driving wheel there is provided a return wheel over which the endless transmission member is wound. The invention applies to rotary grass cutters. <IMAGE>
