PURPOSE:To raise the life characteristics of heating resistors without damaging the function of a thermal recording head due to deterioration of the heating resistor region by providing separate electrodes in a staggering manner on the outside of the heating resistor regions provided in a belt form on both sides of a common electrode. CONSTITUTION:A pattern of separate electrodes 1 and 1' and a common electrode 2 are formed on a heating resistor layer 3' on a ceramic base plate 6 to obtain a thin-type thermal recording head. Since the step difference between the heating resistor region 3, the separate electrodes 1 and 1', and the common electrode 2 becomes smaller, when a heat-sensitive paper is placed across the heating resistor regions 3 in two rows, provided on both sides of the common electrode 2, the contact between the paper and the heating resistor regions 3 is improved. Also, since electric current flows keeping away from the deteriorated portion 4, no problems arise practically and damage to the function of the thermal recording head can be avoided. |
