What is described is a process for obtaining non-continuous weaving fibres, in which, after the rolls have been converted into panels of the raw material used, these are cut in sliver form to successive lengths of 250 metres, this being carried out by machines specially designed for this and provided with cutting blades of a particular kind which accurately maintain the tension, the slivers thus obtained are then sorted out according to thickness, depending on the fabric which is to be produced with this raw material, and they are subjected to a washing at 90 DEG C, are dyed and are rinsed in cold water in a plurality of phases, a softener being admixed with the last cold-rinsing cycle.
