Process for non-polluting disposal of residual products from coal-fired power stations

The residual products arising in the flue gas desulphurisation especially of coal-fired power stations are obtained in greater quantities than are used at the moment for cement production, construction of black road surfaces and similar fields of use. For disposal from power stations, it is therefore proposed to mix the ash, preferably in the still hot state, with the moist CaSO4 product and to move it to cavities which are to be backfilled by a tipping method or pneumatically, preferably dredged pits. The CaSO4 mixture can also be dried by waste heat from the power station and be used, mixed with ash, for other purposes.
