A pipeline is provided for garden landscaping concerns and agricultural concerns, which pipeline is particularly light in weight, easy to handle, and simple in construction. For this purpose, plastic pipe lengths are provided at their ends with threaded ribs of a multi-start thread which can be clamped in mechanical engagement and in a sealed, mutually abutting position, by means of a sleeve which engages over the pipe ends which are to be coupled, by relative rotation of the sleeve with respect to both pipe lengths which are to be coupled, a sealing ring which is anchored in the sleeve being clamped in at the abutment point between the ends of the pipe lengths.
