PURPOSE:To obtain the gas laser device with the stable output and the high security by a method whrein two pairs of anodes are inserted into the laser tube having an optical window and laser capillaries and the metallic mirror supporting means each of which have cathodes respectively are attached to the both ends of this laser tube thereby generating discharge between the electrodes of two pairs respectively by use of two laser power sources. CONSTITUTION:The anodes 10 and 10' facing each other are inserted into the laser tube having an optical window 9 through the tube wall. To the both ends of this laser tube, laser capillaries 6 and 6' and laser tubes 3 and 3' which have cathodes 7 and 7' are arranged respectively and the capillaries 6 and 6' are inserted into the laser tube. On the outside of the laser tubes 3 and 3', the metallic mirror supporting members 4 and 4' which have mirrors 5 and 5' are arranged respectively. The positive laser power source 1 is connected between the cathode 7 and the anode 10 through a ballast resistance 2 and the negative laser power source 7' is connected between the cathod 7' and the anode 10' through a ballast resistance 2'. Thus, discharge is generated between the electrode of two pairs to emitt the laser beam 8 from the side of the mirror 5. |
