<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the escape of heat from a resistor to a lower layer and heat accumulation thereto, by providing a space having heat insulating effect at least to a heat generating part between a heating element and a fixed plate while providing a groove part to the aforementioned fixed plate. CONSTITUTION:Protective layers 1, 1' are formed of ceramics such as Ta2O5, SiC or SiO2 and a fixed plate 5 is formed of ceramics, a metal or an org. material. A heat generating element constituted of the protective layers 1, 1', conductors 2, 2' and a resistor 3 is fixed to a fixed plate 5 having a groove part 6 formed to the part corresponding to a heat generating part. Heat generated by passing a current to the resistor 3 through both electrodes 2, 2' is insulated by the space 6 filled with gas or held under vacuum and the generated heat is effectively transmitted to a recording medium such as heat-sensitive paper. A glaze layer is unnecessary even in cooling and the heat generating part becomes small in the heat capacity thereof and cooled at a sufficiently high speed by the dissipation of heat to the electrode direction.</p> |
