PURPOSE:To provide a reversible thermal recording body which is free from corrosion or wear or tear of a thermal recording head which can withstand repeated printing and erasure. CONSTITUTION:After color development of an electron-donating coloration compound by a coloring mechanism constitued of the electron-donating coloration compound and an electron-accepting developer, in a reversible thermal recording medium possessing such a reversible thermal recording layer 2 which is achromatized by action of at least one kind of an electron-donating achromatic agent, a head destruction preventive layer 4 to eliminate an obstruction by chemical corrosion or wear or tear to a recording head is provided. Hereby, a reduction in generation of city dust by a large quantity of consumption of paper for OA may be attained, preventing the destruction of forest.
