PURPOSE:To enable highly sensitive stable analysis and to attain to suppress the consumption of a specimen container, by directly heating the specimen in the specimen container by high frequency power. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency coil 4 connected to a high frequency power source 3 is arranged around a specimen container 2 comprising a graphite tube having air passing orifices 1, 1... provided to the peripheral surface thereof by drilling and the outer periphery of the coil 4 is surrounded by a graphite tube 5. When a specimen is put in the container 2 which is, in turn, connected to an atomic absorption analytical apparatus and high frequency power is applied to the coil 4, the specimen in the container 2 evenly receives the action of a high frequency electromagnetic field regardless of the diffused state of said specimen and is uniformly heated and atomized to be detected with high sensitivity. On the other hand, the container 2 itself receives no action of the high frequency electromagnetic field by a skin action and, therefore, subjected under no rising in temp. As a result, the consumption of the container can be suppressed. |
