PURPOSE:To make high-precision and easy working possible by burying ferrite bars, whose sections are rectangular, in a plate-shaped dielectric base material having recessed grooves and slicing this base material in the sectional direction to obtain composite substrates and using these composite substrates. CONSTITUTION:Ferrite bars 10 which constitute junction parts of MIC (microwave integrated circuit) circulators are fitted to a dielectric base material 8 having rectangular recessed grooves 9. The base material 8 is cut in parallel with sections of ferrite bars 10 to divide it to plural substrates 12. Thus, the composite substrate 12 is produced where channel-shaped ferrite substrates 14 are fitted in parallel in one side edge part of a dielectric substrate 13 which is stripe- shaped in a floor plan. Junction patterns 4 are formed in parts of ferrite substrates 14, and input/output patterns 5 are formed on the dielectric substrate 13, and earth conductor patterns are formed on the rear face. The dielectric substrate 13 is cut along long and short dash alternating lines X-X to separate individual MIC circulators 3 from one another. Since all working faces are plane, high-precision and easy working is possible. |
