The automatic unhooking of the belt (2) takes place by means of a striking pin (9) loaded by a spring (10). The spring is connected to a plate (15) by means of a cable (11). The tensioning of the spring (10) is guaranteed by a spiral cam (17) connected positively to a wheel (19) which can be actuated by hand by means of a key engaging into a polygonal hole (23) of the hub (19a) of this wheel. The connection between the cam (17) and the plate (15) is reversible, and therefore the spring (10) tends to rotate the wheel (19) by means of the plate (15) and cam (17). The wheel (19) is retained by a part (28) which is subject to the effect of a mass (32) displacing it in the event of an impact releasing the wheel (19). The rotation of this wheel is slowed by a blocking mechanism (39, 40) which it drives via a driving gearwheel (37) with which it is in engagement. When this driving gearwheel (37) jumps out of the toothing (36) extending only over 240 DEG , the wheel (19) is released and executes a sudden rotation, thereby releasing the plate (15) which itself releases the striking pin (9) which is then activated in order to unhook the belt (2).
