PURPOSE:To enable warm water to be taken all the time as well as to measure the temperatures of the stagnant water in intermediate and lower layers by a method in which an intake port is provided to the float connected to a vertical tube, the basal end of a vertically movable and turnable tube is connected to the vertical tube, and an intake port is provided in the tip of the vertically movable and turnable tube. CONSTITUTION:A float 10 is provided to the tip of an intake vertical tube 8 pivotally supported in a vertically movable manner through a bearing 4 to the bottom of a dam 1. An intake port 12 is held below the water surface by buoyancy of the float 10, and the basal end of a vertically movable and turnable tube 24 is connected to the tube 8. An intake port 25 is also provided to the tip of the tube 24, and a vertically movable rotator 29 is provided to the tube 24. The float 10 moves according to the variations of the water surface 13, and therefore, the depth (h) of the intake port 12 in water is kept constant all the time, whereby permitting warm water near the water surface 13 to be taken all the time. The tube 24 is lowered to the position of an imaginary line, the stagnant water in the intermediate or lower layer is taken from the intake port 25, and the temperature and quality of the stagnant water are measured by sensors, etc., on a remote operation manner. |
