Hollow vertical and horizontal members form a framework being attached and disattached by using the concealed connectors. Each connector has two shaped arms (1,2) which are first secured inside the horizontal member (3), with their ends projecting. These ends are inserted in the vertical member (4) and are locked by a screw (15) with its head accessible through a hole (16) in the side of the horizontal member. One arm (1) has a projecting rib (5) which fits into a gripping piece (7) on the other arm (2). This has an end flange at right angles, retaining both arms inside. When the screw is rotated, the first arm is tilted, so that its hooked end (8) grips the edge of a flange (9) on the vertical member. An elastic band (13) also holds the two arms together.
