The bracket comprises the conventional downtube 1 with a tapered end 1a, onto which the tubular zone 2a of the head 2 is force-fitted, the front part of this head being squeezed and rolled to form the clamping collar 2b. The perforations in 2a intended for the passage of 1a are partially drawn upwards to as to create sleeves 2d, 2e ensuring the desired fit and which double the thickness on the sides. The whole metal framework thus produced is coated in a mass 3 of plastic loaded with high-strength fibres. <IMAGE>
