The mechanism is intended for feeding pieces of (small) laundry to a mangling machine or the like. It comprises a frame carrying a transport assembly to move the pieces from a receiving station to the mangle. This assembly comprises at least one rod-shaped (spiked) member which extends at right angles to the transport direction and is guided and driven to move to and fro between station and mangle.
