<p>A metal foil conductor with an adhesive tape backing is stuck to the inside walls of the tent (1) and connected to an alarm unit (9) at the rear of the tent. Conductive flaps (5,6) are connected to the strips on either side of the zip (3,4) at the front (2) of the tent. The flaps complete the circuit when the zip is closed. If the strips of tape are broken, e.g. by a knife, or the zip is opened, the alarm sounds. An alternative version allows the owner to open the zip without causing an alarm, if a key is first turned in a small lock on the front wall.</p> |
