The invention relates to a device for joint control of a gearbox and of a clutch, applicable in particular to motor vehicles. The device is characterised in that it consists of an articulated control lever 3 capable of being tilted in two orthogonal planes F1-F2, this lever being fastened to a linkage 4 mounted so as to move between two positions defined by two ramps 13, 14, one of them fixed, the other 14 mounted freely, the said linkage being capable of being coupled to an arm 20, movable in angle and acting on a lever 26 for selection of the gear ratios, this lever being integral with the control lever 3 in its movements, the said linkage 4 being furthermore held bearing on the fixed ramp by a device 16, 17 with springs 19 which is linked to the clutch actuating rod 18. The invention is applicable preferably to motor vehicles. <IMAGE>
