PURPOSE:To improve the using efficiency of the magnetic flux of a ring type magnetic head by setting the gap length of a magnetic pole at the value larger than double as much as the distance between the end faces of the magnetic pole and an auxiliary soft magnetic matter formed within a magnetic record type disk. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic flux 4 generated by a coil 3 attached into ring-shaped core 5 - a substrate 6 - a vertically magnetized film 7 - an auxiliary soft magnetic matter 8 - the film 7- the substrate 6 - the core 5 and the distance (b) between the substrate 6 - the core 5. When 2b>a is satisfied between the gap length (a) between magnetic poles of the core 5 and the distance (b) between the core 5 and the matter 8, the magnetic resistance produced while the magnetic flux 4 has a round through the matter 8 is larger than that produced while the flux 4 has a round via the distance (a) between the magnetic poles of the core 5. Thus the flux 4 passing through the matter 8 is reduced and therefore the satisfactory recording is impossible. The magnetic flux passing through the matter 8 is approximately equal to that passing through a gap between magnetic poles with 2b=a. However the relation between 2b>a and the magnetic resistance is reversed in the case of 2b<a. Thus the magnetic flux passing through the gap between magnetic poles of the core 5 is smaller than that passing through the matter 8. This improves the using efficiency of the magnetic flux generated by the coil 3. |
