<p>PURPOSE:To display a real picture by converting the shape of a holding means for a lathe automatically by the shape data of a work and displaying the converted shape as a picture. CONSTITUTION:An NC device including a picture display device displays the shape of the work 11, the working trace of a tool, etc. on a display to monitor the working state. Since the shape and size of the work 11 are not fixed on the display, a chuck jaw 10a of the holding means 10 is moved in accordance with the shape and size and the picture is converted so that the work 11 can be held. In the picture conversion, the work and chuck shapes are inputted as coordinate data, the chuck side coordinates on the external diameter of the work shape is defined as a chuck jaw reference point and a point on the center axis separated by Ze from the chuck side end surface of the work shape is defined as a chuck reference point. Real coordinates are found out by adding respective relative coordinate values to the two reference points and the work 11 is held and displayed by the chuck shape obtained by interporating and converting the real coordinates by a straight line.</p> |
