PURPOSE:To obtain a Cu alloy for a radiator with especially superior heat resistance and heat conductivity by adding a relatively large amount of Pb and a specified amount of Ag and/or Sn to Cu. CONSTITUTION:This Cu alloy consists of >0.05-1.0wt% Pb, 0.001-0.5wt% Ag and/or Sn and the balance Cu. The Cu alloy has satisfactory heat resistance as well as high heat conductivity, so the mechanical strength is not reduced even when the alloy is subjected to various heat treatments during the assembling of a radiator. Accordingly, the Cu alloy is used as a superior material for radiator for automobiles, especially for the fins of the radiator.
