The subject of the invention relates to a six-stroke engine device with three valves per cylinder. It consists in adding to each cylinder a third valve 9, the operation of which is synchronised with the intake of fresh air, producing the fifth stroke. The sixth stroke is achieved by exhausting this free air through the exhaust valve. It is intended to equip petrol, gas or diesel engines and engines running on any other fuels, so as to cool them; it increases their efficiency and their longevity. <IMAGE>
