METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REGULATION OF FLOW RATE IN MANHOLE

PURPOSE:To permit the storge of an increment of water in the inflow pipe on the upstream side and the upstream side pipe connected to the inflow pipe by erectly providing a partition plate with an orifice to the invert of the bottom of a manhole. CONSTITUTION:A partition plate 12 with an orifice 11 is erectly provided to the invert 10 of the bottom of a manhole 1. Water coming from an inflow pipe 8 into the manhole 1 is once stopped by partition plate 12 and flowed in a fixed from the orifice 11 at the lower part of the partition plate 12. In case where the amount of water is abruptly increased by rain fall, an increment of water in the inflow pipe 8 on the upstream side and the upstream side pipe connected to the inflow pipe is allowed to store in these pipes. Also, a screen 13 is attached with a spacing to the side of the partition plate 12 to remove out foreign matters in flowing water to close the orifice 11.
