PURPOSE:To perform efficiently digital data transmission with high quality by changing the amount of bits for error correction in response to error state of a transmission line to increase the amount of information transmitted inherently as much as possible. CONSTITUTION:A transmission data amount control section 7 decides the amount of network information by taking the number of transmission line error bits into account. Then a frame pattern generating section 8 decides a frame pattern, decides an error correction bit number p' and an error rate rank code (q) and inserts transmission data to a frame pattern by an operating device 10. Further, an error corection code is calculated based on the decided bit number p' and inserts it in the frame by an operation device 11 and the result is transmitted to a transmission line via an interface 12 at the transmission side. The operation for the reception side is conducted similarly. |
