The invention relates to an industrial cartridge having a case containing a propellant charge, an ignition guide tube arranged axially in the case, and a front closure attached to the end of the case opposite the bottom piece. The bottom piece and, if appropriate, the front closure are designed with a cylindrical extension which is provided with slots and/or slot-shaped perforations or groove-shaped depressions. In a particular embodiment of the invention, the ignition guide tube has at least one radial ignition orifice. The case wall of the industrial cartridge can be provided with axially extending groove-shaped recesses.
