The printing machine driving gear comprises several gearwheel pairs arranged in a power flow and meshing with one another. One pair comprising a drive pinion (11) and a drive wheel (5'') is encapsulated in a housing (13), outside of which the remaining gearwheels (4',5') are arranged. The gearwheels comprise a drive pinion and two coaxial drive wheels (5',5'') non-rotatively connected with one another. A second of the two drive wheels is a constituent of the wheel sequence comprising the remaining gearwheels.
