PURPOSE:To attain very simply and quickly the control by controlling an automatic calling interface of an exchange line only with the application program of a central processing unit independently of the hardware and the basing software of an electronic computer or its terminal device. CONSTITUTION:The communication speed and the operating mode are set to a start-stop communication controller by allowing the application program of the central processing unit 1 to execute initial setting at first. Then in order to rise a CRQ signal ''call request'' of an automatic calling interface controller 7, the application software outputs a CRQ code sequence to the start-stop communication controller 6. Further, a transmitter receiver 8 of the automatic calling interface controller 7 receives a CRQ code sequence transmitted in series and the controller applies the serial/parallel conversion to the sequence. A microcomputer 9 decodes this code sequence and sets the CRQ signal ''call request'' to the automatic calling interface of a network controller 5.
