PURPOSE:To obtain a filament having excelent grinding peformance, rigidity, water proof performance and chemical-withstandability by containing abrasive grains in the mixture of polypolybuthylene terephthalate and poly amid having specific fused viscosity and producing fused string. CONSTITUTION:The polishing monofilament is manufactured by containing 10- 50wt% of abrasive grains in mixture composed of 70-95wt% of polybuthylene terephthalate having fused viscosity higher than 5,000 poise and 30-50wt% of polyamid having fused viscosity higher than 2,000 poise then making a fused string. Polybuthylene terephthalate is polyester to be produced through transesterification between terephthalic acid or esterified derivative and 1,4-butanediol or esterified derivative and performing polycondensation and contained of thermostabilizer, anti-oxidation agent, weatherproof agent, etc. as required.
