PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a fuel injector by installing an opening and closing valve for controlling the fuel pressurized to a nearly constant value and controlling said opening and closing valve by an electronic control apparatus acording to the engine state. CONSTITUTION:A feed pump 12 constituted of a high-pressure pump inhales the fuel in a fuel tank 13 into an accumulator 8. The fuel in the accumulator 8 is maintained at a constant pressure. The fuel in the accumulator 8 is jetted-out from an injection nozzle 3 when a solenoid coil 6 is excited. The opening and closing of the injection nozzle 3 is controlled by a microcomputer 25 according to the operation state. Therefore, the constitution of the fuel injection apparatus can be simplified.
