PURPOSE:To simplify the design of the speed changing equipment of a tilt-cab- type automobile and prevent the gear from disengagement by breaking the linkage relation between a change lever and an engine when the automobile performs tilting operation. CONSTITUTION:A change lever 4 disposed on the floor 5 of a cab is supported by a supporting member 6 and is at the lower end thereof pivotally supported via a pin 18 by a supporting link 17 which is inserted in a control rod 3 connected to an engine-side speed change gear 2. A connecting rod 15 having a fork end 16 which is to be engaged with the pin 14 on the control rod 3 is supported by the lower end of the change lever 4 and locked by a stopper 21 so as not to turn downward when the cab makes tilting operation. For usual speed- change operation, the movement of the change lever 4 is transmitted to the speed change gear 2 via the pin 14. However, for tilting operation, the fork end 16 is uncoupled from the pin 14, therefore allowing the supporting link 17 to stretch from the control rod 3. |
