PURPOSE:To prevent any defects which might occur due to warps by preventing any warps of a positive electrode by integrating a current collector consisting of metal powder with a pellet formed by subjecting a positive active material to pressure molding in a nonaqueous electrolyte in which Li is used as a negative active material and MnO2 is used as the positive active material. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode 3 made of Li metal is pressed and fixed to a negative current collector which is fixed to a negative can 1 by spot welding. On the other hand, a positive electrode 5 containing MnO2 as a positive active material and a positive current collector 6 consisting of metal powder are unified and molded by pressure before the thus obtained body is installed in a positive can 7. After that, a separator 4 consisting of a non-woven fabric or the like impregnated with nonaqueous electrolyte is interposed between the negative electrode 3 and the positive electrode 5, thereby assembling a nonaqueous electrolyte battery. In such a battery, any warps of the positive electrode 5 which might occur due to the current collector 6 is prevented. |
