PURPOSE:To retain a scavenger action effective for a long term without being adversely affected on developability and producing any precipitate before and after application of emulsions by incorporating a specified compd. in a photographic constituent layer as the scavenger of the oxidized product of a color developing agent. CONSTITUTION:At least one of layers for constituting a photosensitive material contains as the scavenger of the oxidized product of a color developing agent a compd. represented by the formula shown here in which R, R' are each alky optionally substd. by halogen, OH, alkoxy, aryl, or the like, or amino optionally substd. by halogen, OH, acyl, aryl, or the like; and (n) is 1, 2, or 3, and when (n) is 2 or 3, the adjacent groups of X may combine with each other to form a ring. As a result, when the photosensitive material is stored for a long term, the obtained color image is sharp without deteriorating most of the scavenging ability and any developability, and producing fog or stains. |
