PURPOSE:To supply an operating device which is simple in constitution and high in utilizing efficiency, by installing a key which improves the utilizing efficiency to the operating section in addition to a display section and function keys. CONSTITUTION:The 100 of the operating section of the operating device of this invention is a conventional general purpose key section. The 200 is a soft key section prepared for users for creating a copying and transmitting functions optionally and the 201 is function keys, and then, the 202 is a liquid crystal display. The 300 is a preset key section for registering, combining, and rereading out the above mentioned functions and can write a label for labelling the name of the above mentioned functions. The 302 is a preset key group. A controller 3 discriminates data inputted from a key input section 5 and sends displaying addresses and displaying character data to a liquid crystal driver 4 and the driver 4 matrix-drives the liquid crystal display 202. Data displayed on the display 202 are key labels of the function keys 201 of SK1-SK6, messages to the operator, and input data from ten-keys 109. To make distinction between the key label and message, a parenthesis is given and, when requesting for an input from the ten-keys 103, an under bar is flashed. |
