The invention relates to a loading station for bulk material such as sand, coal, rubble, sugarbeet etc., in which the loading material is transferred by means of a trough-like container, the upper part of which is designed as an elongated delivery chute, for example from a lorry into a railway truck or a ship. The trough-like container is pivotably mounted on an axis fixed at a high level and is raised to its emptying position by two hydraulic assemblies installed on both sides of the container, the loading material rapidly sliding into the truck. The loading station designed according to the invention has the advantage that bulk material can be loaded rapidly and reliably and that this loading station can be transported to another loading position rapidly and without special difficulties, for example to another loading hatch of the ship to be loaded on a loading wharf or to another truck to be loaded at a railway station; in the latter case, it is not necessary to use a locomotive to pull the truck to be loaded forwards (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
