PURPOSE:To eliminate a whisker of a joint between sensors by executing quickly switching a memory in case of designating an address by selecting a memory which stores an information of plural sensors, in case of scanning an original image by using plural image sensors. CONSTITUTION:For instance, when the number of low order white bits and the number of black bits are 32 and 24, respectively, a read-out start address of a shift memory of a CCD1 system becomes 2420 address, and in a CCD2 system, a value of [(confirmed value) - (number of joint bits)] is obtained. An address set value of the CCD2 system becomes a set value of (the CCD1 system + a read- out start address of the CCD2 system). In said example, 2420 and 4916 are set to each register and loaded to a counter, read address counters of the CCD1 system and the CCD2 system are driven simultaneously, and the memory is also brought to access simultaneously. Also, an output from the memory is selected by an FF 90 and a selector 91 so that only an output data of the CCD1 system becomes effective, and when the counter of the CCD1 system becomes full, the FF 90 is operated, and selector 91 is switched to an output data of the CCD2 system. THis switching is executed before the CCD1 system becomes full, and after an overlap place of both CCDs is brought to access. |
