发明名称 PHOTOMULTIPLIER TUBE
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce influence when the direction of magnetic field has shifted against the tube axis by maintaining the distance between the photoelectric face and dynode within specific dispersion range of the diameter of photoelectric face or the inscribed circle of a rectangular photoelectric face. CONSTITUTION:The distance between a photoelectric face 8 and a dynode 10 is maintained within 1/5 of the diameter of said face 8 or the inscribed circle of a rectangular photoelectric face. For example, a tubular container having inner diameter of 72mm. is employed for the glass container 6 in a photomultiplier tube, where a windoe 7 is made in one bottom of the glass container 6 while a transparent photoelectric face 8 having diameter of 72mm. is made in the inner wall of the window 7. A planar dynode 10 having diameter of 68mm. is arranged in parallel while being separated by 1.5mm. from the meshed anode 9 and anode 9 in this order. Consequently the distance between said face 8 and dynoe 10 is about 8mm. which is about 1/9 of the diameter of said face 8.
