发明名称 GAS DIFFUSION ELECTRODE FOR FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve collection efficiency without damaging gas diffusion by forming a part of a gas side layer as the conductive porous coat and rolling a collection member in the pertinent section. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 1 is comprised with three layers consisting of a hydrophilic porous electrolytic side layer 2, a catalytic layer 3, and a gas side layer 4. The greater part of the gas side layer 4 has an insulating property, and is comprised with a porous coat 5 made of polyethylene 4 fluoride with excellent water repellency and gas diffusion characteristics and a conductive porous coat 6 is integratedly formed on a part of both end regions. This conductive porous coat 6 adds the water dispersion made of polyethylene 4 fluoride to the graphite powder made of mesh with particle diameters 250 to 325 as the bonding agent and is molded in a sheet form. A collection member 7 is made of a metal plate that is used additionally as a partitioned wall between single cells and a collection protrusion 8 that is press-contacted with the conductive porous coat 6 is bent and formed at the corresponding location with the coat.
