A sheet steel cabinet has a plurality of cabinet panels which are fitted together to form a cabinet carcass and have bent edges, at least one bottom panel and two side wall panels being joined in the region of the two front corners in each case by a gusset. The side wall panels are reinforced by an inserted rear wall and, possibly, by a cabinet top. Standing feet, in particular standing feet provided with rollers, are arranged in the region of the outside corners. In the side wall panels there are stabilising bars in the region of the front bent edges. Said stabilising bars are joined to the two front gussets by welding to form uniform stabilising elements. Additionally, the stabilising bars are connected at their upper ends to the cabinet top or gussets arranged there. In the embodiment with doors, the door guides are attached in the gussets, specifically in gusset projections which protrude over the outer contour of the bottom panel. <IMAGE>
