Disclosed herein are novel triazolyl-substituted propane compounds of the general formula I
<Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="24" wi="86" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="no" /></Chemistry>and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein n is 1,2 or 3 and X independently represents halogen, lower alkoxy, lower alkyl or phenyl.

The novel compounds exhibit antifungal activity andtheir use for this purpose is disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for preparing the novel compounds as well compositions containing them.
