PURPOSE:To prepare preferably seasoned paste made from the starch of the devil's-tongue having improved taste, by adding a mixture of a seasoning base consisting of water, salt and sugar, and a seasoning ingredient such as dried soup, etc. to raw material powder of the starch of the devil's-tongue, aging the blend, adding lime water to the blend so that it is coagulated. CONSTITUTION:Water is kneaded with 1-2wt% salt and 2.5-5wt% sugar to give a seasoning base, which is kneaded with a seasoning ingredient such as dried soup, fruit extract or fruit juice, etc. The prepared mixture is blended with 3-3.5wt% raw material powder of the starch of the devil's-tongue based on water in the mixture, aged, and blended with about a little more 10wt% lime water based on the whole blend with stirring. The blend is coagulated, packed, molded, and sterilized. Consequently, high-quality seasoned paste made from the starch of the devil's-tongue is obtained, the combination of salt concentration and saccharide concentration provides taste of seasoning ingredient for specific seasoning and has antiseptic action, and, when the seasoned paste is sealed and packed in sales unit and sterilized, it will stand further long-period preservation while keeping its taste. |
