PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body enhanced in sensitivity, gradation, printing resistance, etc. by forming on a substrate a photosensitive layer prepared by dispersing a phthalocyanine type photoconductor powder into a binder composed of an OH group-contg. thermosetting acrylic resin and a melamine resin. CONSTITUTION:A conductive substrate is coated with a coating liquid obtained by dispersing 15-120pts.wt. photoconductor powder of copper phthalocyanine, metal-free phthalocyanine, and a deriv. made by substituting their benzene ring by halogen, CN, or the like, into an org. solvent soln. of 100pts.wt. org. binder, and drying it and thermosetting the binder resin. Said binder is composed essentially of monomer units of formula I in which X is H or CH3; R is 2-4C alkylene; and n is 1, 2, or 3, and monomer units of formula II in which X is same as above, and R is 1-12C alkyl, and when needed, mixed with a copolymer of styrene, acrylic acid, etc., and a mixture of 95-40pts.wt. of said copolymer or its mixture and 5-60pts.wt. of a melamine resin is used for the binder. |
