<p>PURPOSE:To pass stably a strip through the rolls of rolling stands by reducing the number of revolutions of a stand which bit a strip and stands located at the upstream side of said stand under the condition of constant mass flow, in rolling a strip by a rolling equipment consisting of plural rolling stands. CONSTITUTION:In rolling a strip by rolling stands F1-F7, the stand-by of rolling is completed by performing the initial setting of the number of revolutions of rolling rolls 1a-1g at respective stands so as to obtain the strip passing speeds V11, V21-V71 which are set at first basing on the control signals of respective speed setting devices SSRH1-SSRH7. After biting the strip, the control of strip speed is changed from the control of SSRH1-SSRH7 to the control of a master regulating device MRH. Thus the rolling efficiency is improved, by decelerating a rolling torque as a decelerating toque so as to realize the relation of constant mass flow between the strip speeds of the stand which bit the strip and the stands located at the upstream side of said stand and the strip speeds of the stands which bite the strip succeedingly.</p> |
