PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of a tap hole by improving a conventional repairing method therefor. SOLUTION: The objective method for repairing the tap hole comprises removing damaged parts of the tap hole in a dismantling process of ST01 and exposing healthy parts of the refractory, according to an embodiment shown in figure (b), forcibly cooling the healthy parts of the refractory to a given temperature in a forced cooling process ST02, pouring and molding a monolithic refractory into cavities in a refractory placing process ST03, and drying the placed refractory in the drying process ST04. Namely, the embodiment is characterized by the forcibly cooling process interposed in the control (conventional method (a)). Thereby, there is no concern that moisture in the monolithic refractory boils to give special damage, because the monolithic refractory is poured into cavities which have been adequately forcibly cooled. Thus, the life of the monolithic refractory, and consequently the life of the tap hole, are prolonged.
