A chain link for connecting with chain links of the same type to form a power transmission chain, where the chain link includes a stiff link arm (1) with a cross pin (2) at its one end, and which has a cross sleeve (3) at is other end. The side of the housing (3) facing away from the link arm (1) is fitted with a slot (4) positioned in a plane perpendicular to the sleeves pivoting axis and coincident with the plane of the link arm (1). The slot's (4) width corresponds to the link arm's (1) thickness. The part (3A) of the sleeve (3), situated on the one side of the slot (4), has a closed ring shape while the part (3B) of the sleeve situated on the opposite side of the slot (4) has an open claw like shape with two legs (5,6) which form a radially slanting opening (7) relative to the link arm's (1) length, whose width is greater than the link arm's (1) width; this allows lateral positioning in the sleeve (3) of the shaft pin on the adjacent link arm, by pushing it sideways into the radial opening (7) of the said link arm.A greaseless bush (8) can be put in the sleeve (3), preferably a plastic bush, e.g. of polyamide or polyethane plastic.When assembling or disassembling the chain links, one link is turned to a position, where the link arm (1) coincides with the opening (7), then the links can be separated from each other or assembled by withdrawing or pushing them sideways relative to each other.<IMAGE> |
