PURPOSE:To reduce the overall weight of a coil spring and unify its vibration mode by changing the diameter of a material element wire at least once in one wind. CONSTITUTION:An external force P is applied diagonally to a coil spring 1. Accordingly, a portion with larger strength and a portion with less strength exist in each wind of the material element wire of the coil spring 1, thus generating unevenness. Therefore, the wire diameter of the portion with larger strength is made a small-diameter section 2 and the wire diameter of the portion with less strength is made a large-diameter section 3 for each wind of the material element wire. Thereby, the overall weight of the coil spring can be reduced and its vibration mode can be unified. |
