摘要 PURPOSE:To produce easily and inexpensively a titled alloy having a uniform compsn. with less impurities by using an ordinary atm. pressure type high-frequency induction melting furnace as a high frequency melting furnace by using a lifting type nozzle and blowing directly rare gas to the surface of the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:A molten Fe-Ti alloy 11 for occluding hydrogen is brought into contact with the inside wall 2 of a high frequency induction melting furnace formed by melting preliminarily a low melting Fe-Ti alloy and sintering the same on a magnesia clinker furnace wall 1. A lifting type nozzle 5 is slid vertically and rare gas is blown to the surface of the molten metal according to the height of the molten metal estimated from the amt. of the Fe raw material to be charged through a raw material charging port 4. The nozzle 5 is similarly slid and th rare gas is blown to the surface of the molten metal according to the amt. of the Ti raw material to be charged and the nozzle 5 is slid to the uppermost so as to meet the level of the molten alloy 11 by which the oxidation of the molten metal is prevented.
