PURPOSE:To make it possible to supply a large amount of oil to necessary lubrication sections, by forming suction and discharge ports in specific shapes to make the backflow of oil as small as possible. CONSTITUTION:When the volume of a pump chamber 12 increases in association with reciprocating motion of a vane 10, lubricating oil is sucked into a casing 1 through a suction port 26. In this case, although a discharge port 28 also sucks lubricant oil, the flow of lubricant oil which is expanded in a space 29 communicated with the discharge port 28, is contracted at the small diameter end face of the discharge port 28, and therefore, large fluid resistance or edge effect is effected so that the backflow of lubricant is hardly brought about, thereby a substantial part of lubricant oil is sucked through the suction port 26. When the volume of the pump chamber 12 is decreased with the lowering of the vane 10, lubricant oil is discharged into an oil feed passage 31 through the discharge port 28. The suction port 26 also discharges lubricant oil, the flow of this oil is expanded at once in a space 27 and then contracted at the small diameter end of the suction port 26 so that edge effect is effected, thereby the backflow of oil is hardly brought about. Accordingly, a sufficient amount of lubricant oil may be fed to the oil feed passage 31.
