PURPOSE:To indicate accurately the state before focusing and the focusing state and to prevent this indication from hindering photographing by not only extinguishing an indication mark but also indicating an in-focus mark on the outside of a finder visual field immediately after detection of the in-focus state or a prescribed time after this detection. CONSTITUTION:Lens rotation direction indicating marks 3a and 3b are displayed near a focusing screen 6 by a liquid crystal display plate 7 arranged on an optical cylinder. A light emitting diode LED 3c for focus display is arranged on the outside of the frame of a finder visual field 1. The rotation direction of a lens and the focusing state are indicated by the display of lens rotation direction indicating marks 3a and 3b in the superimposing system in the finder visual field. Immediately after generation of an in-focus displaysignal or a prescribed time after this generation, the display of the focusing state is extinguished, and the in- focus state is displayed by the display of the LED 3c for focus display independent of the superimposing system on the outside of the finder visual field. |
