PURPOSE:To purify advantageously brine, by providing step of regenerating a chelate resin and passing the brine therethrough under specific conditions to replace the interior of a chelate resin column with the brine and the step of passing soft water through the column to replace the interior of the column with the soft water. CONSTITUTION:Electrolytic brine is purified with a chelate resin. In the process, a step of passing the brine through a chelate resin column at SV=10 (hr<-1>) or below velocity after regenerating the chelate resin and before passing the brine to be purified to replace the interior of the chelate resin column with the brine is provided. Furthermore, a step of passing soft water through the interior of the column at SV=10 (hr<-1>) or below velocity after completing the purification of the brine and before the back washing step to replace the interior of the column with the soft water is provided. Dilute brine generated from both steps is circulated as a brine for dissolving the raw salt for use. The stable treated brine is obtained without leakage of Ca from the initial period of passing the brin by this method, and the deterioration of the resin by the free chlorine is not observed. |
