<p>PURPOSE:To improve acceleration performance and fuel consumption efficiency by setting the gear-change speed of a stepless speed change gear as the function of car speed and the difference between an aimed engine revolution speed and an actual engine revolution speed. CONSTITUTION:The gear-change speed (e) of CVT is set as the function of car speed V and the difference between an aimed engine revolution speed Ne' and an actual engine revolution speed Ne. Therefore, when large acceleration is needed, namely Ne'-Ne is large and the car speed V is low, gear-change speed (e) becomes large, and large acceleration is realized. When large acceleration is not needed, the gear-change speed (e) becomes small, and fuel consumption efficiency can be improved.</p> |
